Calling all 'Sceners!

Do you own, run or post on your own Football Manager fansite? Then FM Bloggers welcomes you too. If you want to gain some more exposure for your FM related site, then sign up and you will be permitted to post your own articles on here. Go on - you know you want to!

That's Complete B-a-l-l-s

"RIDDLE SOLVED!" proclaims the Football Manager site B-a-l-l-s.

"RIDDLE UNSOLVED!" proclaims me.

Those cheating German's...

One of the cool extra's in owning a blog is the ability to look at the stats in detail. On the Blog FM site, for example, I've noticed how many people come to the site in search of illegal information: where to find a no-cd crack for Football Manager 2007.

And do you know who is worse than anyone else? Those German gamers out there! Now I may be stereotyping a little here, but when someone searches "fussball manager 2007 no-cd" and "no cd fussball manager´2007" I presume them to be German. Incidentally, those searches were not unique - each had a few clicks before visiting my website!

Of course, there are a few English cheaters out there too. A number of the terms used in search engines to bring up the site contain the words "Football Manager" and "NO CD". Which is a shame, really, as people need to get their arses down to the shop and hand over some cash for it!

The reason why the site is being brought up so often is because of a tongue-in-cheek article I wrote, saying how to get around the fact that you need to the CD to be in your computer to play Football Manager (spoiler: the only way to get round it is to buy the game...)

The Rules

We will try not to have too many rules but there are some that must be adhere to in order for the site to run efficiently and for standards of decency.

  • As it goes without saying, no posts that could be considered as an attack against individuals/race/groups/etc will be tolerated
  • All users must sign up with a registered e-mail address
  • When publishing an article, it must contain only two labels: your username and the area to which the post belongs. The possible areas are: Website/Football Manager/Football/Scene. None-labelled posts and incorrectly labelled posts will be changed. Which I won't be happy about.
  • Your account cannot be used to advertise a website. We respect that other sites will be mentioned and this is acceptable to a degree, but if every post of yours is linking to your own website then this will not be tolerated.

Those are the basic rules which should be easy enough to stick to. The main reason for the opening of FM Bloggers is to give the average gamer out there a place to write about the game without having to set up and look after their own site.

Ok, so how do I sign up?

To create your own account e-mail blogfm@googlemail.com with your real name and desired username. Your account will normally be set up within 24 hours.

Welcome to FM Bloggers

Welcome to FM Bloggers, the sister site to Blog FM. FM Bloggers will allow anyone to post about the game of Football Manager, football or the scene. This is a recently launched service as part of the Blog FM website: http://blogfm.wordpress.com.

How It Works:

Have you ever wanted to post your own feelings and thoughts about Football Manager, but don't want to bother setting up a whole site? Then FM Bloggers is for you. We don't expect you to post all the time - infact, you can post as often or as rarely as you wish. You won't be criticised by anyone (unlike normal scene sites) for not posting, and should the site grow to a substantial standard, you could even be contributing to the most updated scene site around.

Once you request an account, you are then free to post as you wish. Then only thing we request is that you use the 'Post Options: Labels' feature to type in your username so that readers can find all of your posts in one click.

If you wish to sign up, please take a look at the rules and send an e-mail blogfm@googlemail.com with your real name and desired username. Your account will normally be set up within 24 hours.
